Surroundings
Scatwell House enjoys a peaceful and secluded location approximately 5 miles from the village of Marybank in the heart of Strathconon. It is a quiet, protected, and very safe area, making it ideal for nature lovers. We are only 22 miles from Inverness, the capital of the Highlands. The nearby A832 road connects to the A9, providing easy access to Inverness, the northern Highlands, the west coast, and Edinburgh to the south.
The spectacular Strathconon Valley is widely regarded as one of the most beautiful areas in northern Scotland. The surrounding landscape ranges from dramatic Highland mountains, streams, and lochs to forests bordered by colorful heather moorlands, as well as magnificent woodlands that transform with the changing seasons. Stretching across northern Scotland, the Highlands are rugged, sparsely populated, and steeped in history.
